This student event is open to students of CSMTA member and non-member teachers. Two categories: Competitive Stars & Non-Competitive Stars. Four divisions: Solo Piano, Solo Voice, Solo Instrument & Ensemble.

* CSMTA Concerto Competition:

Winners’ Concert date: April 28, 2018
Orchestra: Metro State University of Denver Symphony Orchestra 
Location: King Center at Metro State University, 855 Lawrence Way, Denver
Ages: 8-19 (Piano), 13-19 (Woodwind/Brass/Percussion)
The 2018 repertoire for the three Piano divisions:
Elementary Piano (ages 8-10): Haydn Concerto in G, XVIII/4, Mvt. 3
Junior Piano (ages 11-14): Haydn Concerto in G, XVIII/4, Mvt. 1
Senior Piano (ages 15-19): Beethoven Concerto No. 1 in C, Op. 15, Mvt. 1

The 2018 repertoire for the Woodwind/Brass/Percussion category: Contact the CSMTA Concerto Competition chair for information regarding repertoire for these instruments.

The 2017 Colorado MTNA Competition is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the University of Colorado – Boulder’s College of Music. Application forms and guidelines will be available in August, 2017 at: http://www.mtna.org/programs/competitions/
Entry deadline: September 13, 2017, 3pm Eastern Central Time.
